CFMOTO Canada takes on Red Bull Romaniacs
Some races test speed. Others test endurance. Red Bull Romaniacs tests just about everything.
From July 28 to August 1, 2026, the 23rd edition of Red Bull Romaniacs brought riders from around the world to Sibiu, Romania, for one of the most extreme and demanding enduro events on the planet. Among them were two of our Canadian riders, Cynthia Préfontaine and Patrick Trahan, ready to take on the challenge aboard the CFMOTO IBEX 450.
And they were part of an incredible week for CFMOTO.
A landmark performance for CFMOTO
CFMOTO riders claimed victory in all three Adventure classes, with Mario Román Serrano winning Adventure Ultimate, Rene Columna taking the top spot in Adventure Core and He Guishu winning Adventure Lite. The success went even further in Adventure Lite, where CFMOTO riders swept the podium, taking first, second and third place.
Representing CFMOTO Canada, Cynthia competed in Adventure Lite, while Patrick took on Adventure Core. Over several intense days of competition, they faced steep climbs, unpredictable terrain, long hours in the saddle and the kind of conditions that have made Red Bull Romaniacs legendary.

For our Canadian riders, it was a chance to take on an extraordinary challenge while being part of a remarkable international performance for CFMOTO.
Our Canadian Riders Take on the Challenge
For CFMOTO Canada, having two Canadian riders take part in an event of this scale was a huge opportunity. It was a chance to bring our Canadian presence to the international stage, put the IBEX 450 through an extraordinary real-world challenge and, most importantly, support two riders willing to push themselves far beyond an ordinary adventure ride.
They Made It to the Finish
Patrick finished 25th out of 37 riders in the Adventure Core class, while Cynthia finished 27th out of 37 in Adventure Lite. After days of demanding riding in the Romanian mountains, both of our Canadian riders completed the event safe and sound.

At an event as intense as Red Bull Romaniacs, simply reaching the finish line is an achievement worth celebrating.
From Canada to Romania, Cynthia and Patrick showed exactly what adventure riding is all about: determination, resilience and the willingness to take on something completely outside the ordinary.
