HUNTING ATV

The right ATV size depends on the type of hunting and outdoor activities you enjoy, as well as the terrain, distance and load you expect to carry.

For small game, fishing, scouting or navigating narrow, wooded trails, the 409cc CFORCE C4 and 499cc CFORCE C5 offer a compact, agile option with 17 L fuel tanks for full days on the trail.

For larger game, more demanding terrain or heavier loads, the 647cc CFORCE C6 PRO adds 54 hp and up to 320 mm of ground clearance, the highest in the CFORCE lineup, along with a 24 L fuel tank for increased capability and range.

For longer trips, two-up riding or carrying more gear, the 800cc and 963cc TOURING and OVERLAND models offer greater power, comfort, carrying capacity and 26 L fuel tanks for extended adventures.

An ATV's carrying capacity depends on its front and rear rack capacities, total payload and how you distribute your load. The CFORCE C4 and C5 offer up to 30 kg (66 lb) of front rack capacity and 60 kg (132 lb) at the rear. The CFORCE C6 PRO and C6 PRO TOURING increase this to 55 kg (122 lb) up front and 110 kg (243 lb) at the rear, while the CFORCE 800 TOURING, CFORCE 1000 TOURING and CFORCE 1000 OVERLAND offer up to 45 kg (99 lb) front and 90 kg (198 lb) rear.

CFMOTO also offers a range of racks, storage bags and cargo boxes to help you organize and carry your gear more efficiently. When planning a hunting trip, remember to account for your gear, supplies and other equipment when determining how much you need to carry.

When shopping for a hunting ATV, consider how each feature will affect your time in the field. Four-wheel drive can provide extra traction in mud, loose terrain and steep sections, while ground clearance and suspension help you navigate rocks, roots and uneven trails. Power steering can reduce steering effort and fatigue, especially during long or technical rides, and a winch can be valuable for recovering the ATV or clearing obstacles.

The CFORCE lineup offers selectable 2WD/4WD, up to 320 mm of ground clearance and independent suspension, with electronic power steering across the range. All models also come with factory-equipped winches offering up to 3,500 lb of recovery capacity.

There isn't one fixed distance an ATV can travel on a tank of fuel. Range depends on engine size, terrain, riding conditions, speed, load and how often you use 4WD. For longer hunting trips, fuel capacity becomes an important consideration: CFORCE models range from 17 L on the CFORCE C4 and C5 to 24 L on the CFORCE C6 PRO models and 26 L on the CFORCE 800 TOURING, CFORCE 1000 TOURING and CFORCE 1000 OVERLAND. Larger fuel tanks provide more capacity for extended trips and can reduce the need to carry additional fuel, giving you greater flexibility when travelling farther into the backcountry.

Both the CFORCE C6 PRO and CFORCE 1000 TOURING offer the capability, ground clearance and off-road performance needed for hunting. The CFORCE C6 PRO is a more compact and agile option, making it well suited to tighter trails and technical terrain, while still offering premium features and equipment. The CFORCE 1000 TOURING delivers more power and a larger two-up design with an additional seat, making it a great choice for riders who want to bring a passenger or need extra performance for demanding terrain and longer hunting trips.
